Ganja Harvest Album (CD)

In 1972, Canadian legend Neil Young released "Harvest" an album that reached the #1 spot on the Billboard Hot 100 chart on the strength of songs Old Man, Needle and the Damage Done and Heart of Gold. Neil’s fourth album quickly became a mainstay on Canadian and worldwide radio and solidified him as a premier singer-songwriter of his generation. Rolling Stone named "Harvest" the 78th greatest album of all time and CBC Radio’s Bob Mersereau named it the #1 Canadian album of all time in his book “The Top 100 Canadian Albums." Toronto based Reggae collective, Reggaddiction, has reinterpreted "Harvest" as a reggae album, with support from 2019 Juno Winning reggae producer Dubmatix, providing a reggae dub mix.

Having mixed Speak to Me/Breathe for the Easy Star All Stars, Dubber Side of the Moon album (A Reggae Tribute to Pink Floyd) in 2010. Dubmatix was the perfect fit for the Ganja Harvest album. He also toured with the Easy Star All Star band, providing live dub mixes for their shows. The cherry on the top, Dubmatix is 100% Canadian.

The reggae tribute album includes performances by the co-founder/lead singer Fergus Hambleton of the 2x Juno winning band the Sattalites, 3x Juno nominee Ammoye, legendary dancehall artist Lord SassaFras, 5x Canadian Reggae Music Award Winner and Juno nominee Jimmy Reid, Reggaddiction lead vocals Dave Matthews and Trish Campbell, and more.
